Hello, my name is Sheila Johannesen, my family wears fur! I have a 6 year old Golden Retriever named Preston, a rescued boy, and two cats Timmy and April that I rescued as kittens and are now 6 years old. Just recently, I lost my beloved 14 1/2 year old Golden Retriever Spooner who was also a rescued dog. She would often accompany me on some of my calls and visits, or pose in pictures with me at an event. In my spare time I enjoy training and entering events with my dogs in Obedience and Rally. I have been an Animal Control Officer for 10 years. I was hired as the Hampstead Assistant ACO in 2004, and hired as Hampstead ACO in 2011. Because I am retired, this enables me to better myself and the work I so enjoy doing. I have always loved animals, and always wanted to work with animals. Now that I have retired, I have in my own way followed my dream and at the same time I am able to give back to the town and community I love.
My name is Maura Wentworth. I live in Hampstead with my husband and 2 children. We have a small farm with alpacas, goats, and chickens, as well as a few domestic animals. I have a bachelor’s degree in animal science and have worked many years as a veterinary technician. I was hired as assistant animal control officer in 2013, and enjoy the opportunity to help animals and people around town.
