Single Stream Recycling
Hampstead has Single Stream recycling. Put all recycling materials in one bin. If your bin is too small, you can use your own barrel (30 gallons or less) - just clearly mark it "Recycling."

Interested to see what happens to your recyclables once they are picked up curbside?

The following is recyclable:
·         All Plastics Marked 1-7
·         Aluminum Cans
·         Glass Bottles & Jars
·         Empty Aerosol Cans
·         Aluminum Foil (rinsed)

·         All Types of Paper: Brown Bags, Catalogs, Juice Boxes (remove straw) Newspaper, Phone Books, Old Books, non-greasy pizza boxes,
Junk Mail (windowed envelopes OK) Paper Milk & Juice Cartons, egg cartons, magazines, office paper, shoe boxes

·         Cardboard Boxes (broken down to 2’ x 2’)

The following is NOT recyclable:
·         NO garbage
·         NO hypodermic needles
·         NO diapers
·         NO sharp objects
·         NO napkins, dirty paper plates, greasy pizza boxes
·         NO styrofoam (even with a recycling symbol)
·         NO bubble wrap NO food
·         NO light bulbs
·         NO potato chip bags
·         NO window glass
·         NO packing peanuts
·         NO toys
·         NO vinyl siding
·         NO plastic shopping bags (even with recycling symbol)
