Patriotic Purposes

Our Mission Statement:

Hampstead's Patriotic Purposes and Veterans Affairs Committee administers and hosts several patriotic programs and events throughout the year as well as assisting Hampstead veterans with their ongoing military support affairs.

Our Memorial Day Observance is held at the bandstand behind Town Offices (Meetinghouse Park) starting at 10AM on Memorial Day Mondays.  A ceremony for the Retirement of Unserviceable Flags is held at 6PM at the Fire House on the closest Thursday to June 14th where your torn, tattered and worn out flags will be properly disposed of.  We are a major contributor to the Town's annual 4th of July Festival at Meetinghouse Park behind the Town Offices complete with fireworks (weather permitting.)  Our towns Veterans Day Observance is held each November 11th at 11AM at the Hampstead Middle School unless the 11th falls on a Sunday, then it will be observed on the following Monday.
