Earth Day / Arbor Day
The Conservation Commission will hold a town wide trash pickup day which will be announced. On Third Saturday in April the fishing derby is being held at Shop Pond, during the Fishing Derby the Conservation Commission will be giving out large heavy duty trash bags, gloves and trash pick-up sticks for the Town-wide pick-up. Townspeople are asked to take a few bags and clean up a section of road in town. Let's all pitch in to clean up all the litter that has collected over the winter.
Participants will also receive a small gift in exchange for your efforts.
Trails Day
On Saturday, May 19th we will be having trail work; volunteers are needed to help. There is still quite a lot of cleanup to be done as a result of the Winter storms. We will have a few chainsaws and a chipper to deal with all the downed and broken trees. We will also have gravel to fill in some low spots on the trails, and a tractor to help distribute it.
So please join us at 9:00 am at the West Road parking low. If you would like to work in some other trail area in town, please contact Tim Lovell for information: 329-7230.
