Town of Hampstead
Town Deliberative Session
The town Deliberative Session will be held TONIGHT Friday, February 10th at 7pm at the Hampstead Middle School Cafeteria. This is where all registered voters of Hampstead are invited to join and discuss the warrant articles which will be voted on March 14th. The meeting can be viewed on Channel 6 for those with Comcast or on the rebroadcast at https://hampsteadcabletv.vod.castus.tv/vod


Town Election Day
Election Day is Tuesday March 14th from 8am-8pm at the Hampstead Middle School. This is when all votes will be cast for the town and school warrant articles.


Dog License Renewal
All dogs must be licensed each year by April 30th. To save valuable time, submit your renewal request online and receive your license and tags by mail. See https://www.hampsteadnh.us/town-clerk-tax-collector/pages/dog-licenses for more information.


New Online Services Available
You can now pay Property Tax, purchase Dog Licenses, Transfer Station stickers, and more online. Visit https://pay.eb2gov.com/?ID=242&campaignID=11 to view the various services that are offered.


Hampstead School District
Kindergarten Interest Survey
Incoming Kindergarten parents take note, the Hampstead School District is starting to plan for the 2023-2024 school year. If you have a child who will be NEW to Hampstead Central School or joining the kindergarten program, please fill out the following Google Doc: https://forms.gle/FB2kZMMwG9qPK63s7. If your child is already enrolled at HCS in grades K-4, you will not need to fill out this form, your child will be promoted to the next grade. This will help the school to start planning for incoming students and will put you on the school email list for upcoming enrollment dates such as:
• Kindergarten Parent Night - Wednesday, February 22 at 6:30pm
• Kindergarten & Preschool Registration opening - Date TBD Spring
• Kindergarten & Preschool Screening - Dates TBD May & June

As we move through the spring months, you will be asked to provide more information to officially register your child for the school year.

Enrollment Projection and Facility Study
The Hampstead School District contracted with the New Hampshire School Administrators Association to complete an independent investigation and analysis of the demographic needs of the school district's K-8 student population.

Strategic Planning
The Hampstead School District (HSD) is pleased to present the 2022-2025 Strategic Plan, which is visible at https://strategicplan.hampsteadschools.net. The development of the Strategic Plan was a year-long process involving key stakeholders from a variety of constituent groups and represents a roadmap for the future of the Hampstead School District. Thank you to the various community members who helped provide input into this process.

Hampstead Civic Club
Save the date! This year's 4th of July celebration will be held on Saturday, June 24th at Meetinghouse Park. More details to follow.

Senior Committee
A reminder about CART Transportation Services for seniors or any resident needing transportation: Rides require a reservation. Because this is a shared-ride service, rides must be scheduled at least one business day but not more than one week in advance. Rides are available 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday - Friday. 

CART Bus tickets can be purchased on the bus and online. If you purchase tickets on the bus you should bring exact change as drivers cannot make change. Tickets can also be purchased on their website. Tickets are $1.50 to $5.00. Passengers receive an automated call the night before their scheduled ride to indicate when the bus is scheduled to arrive. Passengers then receive a call 15 minutes prior to the bus arriving. Please be prepared to board within five minutes of the bus arriving at your location. All CART services are accessible and available to people with disabilities.

Fixed routes include: Transportation to Manchester on Tuesdays and Thursdays to Catholic Medical Center, Elliot Hospital, Elliot at River’s Edge, Elliot Outpatient Services, Dartmouth-Hitchcock-Manchester, and VA Medical Center. Hampstead dialysis patients can also take a shuttle to Londonderry dialysis centers for 11:00am appointments. Transportation to Senior Class is also available.

Tuesday, Feb. 14 at 7:00pm - It's time for the annual Chocolate Basket fundraiser! Raffle Tickets are $1 for one or $5 for six, and can be purchased at the Library's front desk where the basket is on display. Third Thursday Book Club
Thursday, Feb. 16 at 1:00pm - Third Thursday Book Club discusses The Princess Bride: S. Morgenstern's classic tale of true love and high adventure by William Goldman.  Copies of the book will be available to borrow. All are welcome to the discussion.

Meditation Classes

Preschool Story Time

2023 Event Calendar

Derry Transfer Station Changes
The Derry Transfer Station has announced that they are no longer able to accept mattresses, box springs or stuffed chairs or couches over 6 feet.  

Those items can still be brought to the Kent Farm Transfer Station with a valid permit. The cost for the mattress or a box spring is $40.00. There is no additional cost for a sofa. You can also have it picked up curbside (subject to change) on the third Saturday of the month at a cost of $26.00 per item, payable in advance through the Town Clerk's office.


Household Hazardous Waste
Waste Oil, car batteries and thermostats are collected at the Hampstead Town Garage on the first and third Saturdays of the month from 8am-1pm.


Hampstead Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW)
If you have served on foreign soil, you may be eligible to join the Hampstead VFW Post.  If you are interested, contact the Post Commander Howie Steadman at 603-329-4288.
