Tropical Storm Henri

Keep an eye on the weather forecast, as there is a storm headed our way! This Sunday, the 22nd, we’ll start to see rain and Monday will be when the high winds (along with continuing rain) hit. Please prepare yourself accordingly.

NOTE: The decision has been made to delay trash/recycling one day.  The concern is with the expected winds (40mph to 60mph) that it will create havoc with the recycling carts blowing around.

Trash/Recycling will be a day late for the week of August 23rd through August 27th.

If your pickup is normally on Monday, it will be Tuesday
If your pickup is normally on Tuesday will be Wednesday
If your pickup is normally on Wednesday will be Thursday
If your pickup is normally on Thursday will be Friday

If your trash/recycling doesn't get picked up, please reach out to the town office at 603-329-4100.

Hampstead School District

We continue to make progress with the Hampstead Central School renovation project.  Though there have been some delays with materials, the project is running on schedule.  Plans are in place to work nights and weekends if needed to finish the exterior work prior to students coming back to school on September 7th. The start of the school year will not be impacted by the project and the HSD will continue to work with the construction team to ensure a smooth transition.

Superintendent Thompson and his team continue to set the foundation for creating our strategic plan. There has been a great response from the community members who have volunteered to assist in the process. Though there are many volunteers, if you would like to participate please reach out To Mr. Thompson at directly thompsonr@hampsteadschools.net. And he will work to get you involved in this process where possible.

If you’d like to stay up to date on School District happenings, the next HSD board meeting is on Tuesday, August 24th at 7pm at the Hampstead MIddle School or streaming live via YouTube. You can subscribe to the district’s YouTube channel here:

The new school year is quickly approaching, and school supply lists have been posted on the school websites by grade level. Be sure to check out the supply list to prepare your students for the upcoming year!
