275th Anniversary of the Town of Hampstead
The Hampstead Middle School will kick off the anniversary celebration with a presentation at HMS gymnasium at 8:35 am. There will be a 45 minute presentation with a slide show full of pictures from Hampsteads' yesteryear? RSVP name and guests to Ellie Curry at currye@hampsteadschools.net or at 603-329-6743. RSVP by Wednesday 1/17/24.
Join members of the Community in the reading of the Proclamation that made Hampstead a town January 19, 1749.
The reading will be held at 5:00 pm and read by Julien Malcolm in the sanctuary of the Hampstead Congregational Church
located at 61 Main Street at 5:00 pm. This is free and open to the public. There will also be a reenactment of the life of a woman in colonial times.
This will be followed by a Celebration Dinner at the church in Hadley Hall at 6:00 pm. The cost of the meal is $25 and tickets are available for purchase at the Hampstead Public Library. Cash or checks only payable to Hampstead Congregational Church.
Dinner will be followed by a dance at Hampstead Middle School at 7:30 pm. The dance is a colonial dance class with professional callers. The cost is $10 for the dance, or it is included in the price of the dinner ticket. All ages are welcome for all events.
