Extra Trash Bag Program

The Recycling and Waste Committee, with approval from the Board of Selectmen, have started an extra trash bag program. This is a 6-month trial program and is available now.
Residents will be allowed to put one trash bag a week on top of their trash (gray) cart.  See process below

The cost per bag is $7.00 and the bags must be purchased at the Town Clerk's office. When purchased you will be given an orange bag along with a green sticker and a zip tie. 
The bag must be placed on top of the trash (gray) toter with the cover open.  During a regular trash pick up the cover must be closed
These will be the only bags above the trash that will be allowed.  

You may purchase more than one bag at a time, but only put one bag out per week.
The extra bag program is for household trash only, no hazardous waste, no construction debris and no brush or yard waste.
The resident is responsible if the contents of the orange bag spill.

If you find that you need this more frequently, please consider the subscription service for extra trash toters.
The cost to get an extra trash toter is $175 per year (half for the renting of the toter and half for the cost of the tipping fees).
